'Superbrands of the Czech Republic' 2007: an insight into the Czech Republic's strongest brands.
The second programme of 'Superbrands of the Czech Republic' will be launched in the summer of 2007 and a new Brand Council has already met to judge nearly 3,000 brands. The aim is to make this second programme even better than the first, and from the outset it has been receiving considerable coverage in the media.
The Brand Council experts have focused on agreeing on those brands that can fairly be described as the 'top 100 Superbrands' of the Czech Republic and looking at the final list it would be difficult to disagree with any of them. At the time of writing, having already met with several of the voted brands, it is very exciting to hear how each of them perceives the Superbrands' award and how they plan to use their status.
This programme's Brand Council is extremely 'hands on' and it meets at regular intervals to discuss progress and look at new ways of promoting the Superbrands' programme. Perhaps that is only to be expected when you consider who the judges are:

Alongside a substantial media and advertising campaign, a new initiative for this second Superbrands' programme is to give the general public the option to choose their own 'Superbrand' in a number of different categories and it is planned that special awards will be given to the winners of each at the launch of the Superbrands' programme in the autumn of 2007.
Billboards, advertising in both marketing and general media, and various PR articles are promoting this initiative and it is even possible to fill in the questionnaire at www.jwa.cz to vote for your own choice of Superbrand!
The preparation for the second programme of Superbrands of the Czech Republic will continue until the end of May, by which time it is hoped that the majority, if not all, of the 'top 100 Superbrands' will have chosen to take part. The book of brands will then be launched in September 2007, the offical start of the programme. At that point, this whole website will change and Superbrands will be able to see the various events, seminars and other promotions that are planned for this particular campaign.
