Karen has been part of the Metro team since October 1999. As an avid reader of Metro from its launch she spotted an opportunity to work on an innovative brand that she enjoyed every morning!

 

She joined initially as a Media Executive, six months later she was promoted to the position of Marketing Manager and in July 2002 to the position of Head of Marketing. In April 2004 year she was promoted again to Marketing Director and joined the Metro Board.

 

Karen is responsible for developing and supporting the Metro brand through a range of marketing initiatives to both trade and consumer audiences.

 

Prior to Metro, Karen also worked in Newspapers as a Marketing Executive for Northcliffe Newspapers, the regional press arm of the Daily Mail group. Before her move into newspapers she spent a year working in Dublin for Bank of Ireland Finance. She has a degree in Business Studies and Marketing from Dublin City University.
