After graduating from the University of London, Jacqui joined Unilever as a commercial trainee, quickly moving through the ranks to marketing manager for Bachelors Soup. Jacqui turned the declining market into growth, returning six percentage points onto the company share. Key factors were the ‘Hug Mug’ TV campaign and introduction of granules.

 

In 1995 Jacqui was promoted to marketing controller and business group leader for the entire Batchelors portfolio, where she re-wrote the business and brand strategy. This resulted in a string of advertising awards for the SuperNoodles TV campaign, the launch of Cup-a-Soup Extra being voted the best new launch by The Grocer, and an increase in brand profit by 70%.

 

Jacqui took up her current position in 2000, liaising with brands such as Dove, Sunsilk, Sure, Lynx, Impulse and Vaseline. In the last three years the Business has grown by nearly 20% and there has been significant activity behind extending the Lynx and Dove brands and launching Sunsilk.
