Graham Hiscott
Consumer Editor
Daily Express
Graham has been a qualified journalist for 11 years, five of those specialising in consumer affairs. His career started with a degree in journalism at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. After graduating he landed a job as a reporter on the Cambridge Evening News. Eighteen months later Graham left to become a reporter at a press agency in Birmingham called News Team International. His career continued to progress 18 months later with a move to the Press Association as a regional reporter covering the East Midlands. It was here Graham developed his interest as a consumer affairs correspondent, which led to another move to the Press Association’s HQ in London.
Graham was runner-up at the London Press Club Awards 2005 and 2006, for the Consumer Affairs Journalist of the Year. Among the reasons for his nomination was breaking the Dasani bottled water story and a series of stories on soaring energy bills.
